China molybdenum prices remained weak adjustment in the week ended Friday January 4 after returning from the holiday of New Year’ Day. On the one hand, prices and quantity of steel biddings were under pressure; on the other hand, although enterprises planned to stock up before Chinese New Year, sellers took a watchful stance on reduced profits.
Taken together, the demand side in domestic molybdenum market is still weak. Market participants are more hesitant and waiting for new offer levels from large mines and performance in steel biddings.
