Molybdenum market quotation in China: prices of molybdenum concentrate, sodium molybdate, ammonium molybdate and ammonium deptamolvbdate decline slightly in the week to Thursday January 3.
Downstream stainless steel market reduces the need for stocking up, which weakens ferro molybdenum market. Considering thin market trading in December, market inventory and funds eased slightly, insiders now are waiting for selling prices from large mines, prices and quantity of steel tender and stocking up before Chinese New Year.
It was reported that Fushun Special Steel plans to issue buy tender for 100 tons of ferro molybdenum in January at RMB 108,000/t; Dalian Special Steel to buy 100 tons of ferro molybdenum at RMB 109,000/t.
