Ferro Molybdenum Price - Jan. 7, 2019

Ferro molybdenum price drops slightly while molybdenum powder and ammonium molybdate prices remain unchanged in the week began January 7 in China, affected by pessimistic sentiment of downstream customers. 

Inquiry increases in the molybdenum concentrate market, but pressed by limited buying interest in the terminal side, transaction prices are hard to be raised. Traders are waiting for new offer levels of miners. In the ferro molybdenum market, the weakness in stainless steel market and some manufacturers considering profit-taking weaken market confidence, and market take a watchful stance to replenishment of downstream enterprises. 

For molybdenum chemical and product market, enterprises remain low operating rate and slow down to sell products. In the short term, the market will wait the next move in the raw material market.
