In order to research the hardness change from inner to the surface of aluminized coating, so the researcher tested the hardness of hot-dip aluminized coating TZM alloy. And at the same time, to ensured the veracity of the value the load fluctuation change of experiment are as following: 25g→500g→100g.
From the study data we can found that when the load fluctuation is 25g aluminized coating TZM alloy’s surface has low hardness which is depend on α-Al itself and the range is HV30~130. With distance from the surface increase, at about 120um, the harness value increase to HV760. At 120~150um, the hardness value change between HV760~785 and the load fluctuation is 500g. This is because the alloy layer of TZM is consists of Al4Mo, Al5Mo and other hard alloy and these aluminum molybdenum compounds have larger hardness. With the distance further increase, the hardness rapidly decrease and at HV260 it became stable. And the load fluctuation is 100g. And that indicated that TZM alloy substrate hardness is HV260.
