Observing TZM alloy oxidation mode found before 400℃the oxidation of TZM is belong to initial phase. In this phase oxidation of TZM alloy was slow change with parabola way and this is because dark brown non-volatilisation protective layer MoO2 form at the surface of alloy. During 450℃~750℃, oxidation rate of TZM alloy was to speed up and this is because green-yellow volatilisation protective layer MoO3 was formation. At 800℃~1000℃, the alloy has obvious weightlessness and because MoO3 evaporate at this phase.
After 800℃,100h cyclic oxidation experiment on TZM alloy with hot dip aluminized coating found the oxidation kinetic curves basically accord with parabola law. And after experiment, the aluminized coting of alloy sample without obvious flake phenomenon. It is shown that the adhesion between alloy and coting is great and aluminized has great oxidation resistance. At the beginning, 1~20h heating cycle aluminized coting alloy sample occurs quick oxidation which is because surface pure aluminum layer oxide to γ-Al2O3. At 20~40h heating cycle, the oxidation rate reduce because protective Al2O3 formed. γ-Al2O3 has stable chemical property and great compactness which can great improve material’s high temperature oxidation resistance. With time goes by, at 40~100h heating cycle, sample surface basically won’t happen oxidation weight and the whole oxidation went into stable phase.
