Annealing Temperature Influence Titanium Zirconium Molybdenum Alloy Structure

At different annealing temperatures titanium zirconium molybdenum alloy microstructure changes will be different. At 850 ℃ test temperature, study the microstructure of TZM alloy found partial grain boundary and grain alloy has many small size and uniform inclusions and  the performance of the structure is loose. At an annealing temperature of 950 ℃, there are many larger size holes and the size is about 3um. At this temperature, the large hole of alloy is important cause for low elongation. And at 1150℃ annealing temperature, the alloy grain boundaries has small size holes and the structure is relatively dense. At this temperature, since the portion of the inner stress of the alloy was removed so it has improved tensile properties of the alloy.
Recrystallization temperature of TZM alloy is about 1200 ℃, select at several temperatures below the recrystallization temperature to compared found when the annealing temperature is low, the inclusions of alloy did not grow up so the microstructure relatively dense alloy. And as the temperature rises, the various defects within the crystal grew, the following inclusions off, leaving a big void. When the temperature continues to rise, some of the compounds were re-dissolved in the matrix.
