The Deformation Structure of Titanium Zirconium Molybdenum

After study and observe the deformation structure and un-deformation structure of titanium zirconium molybdenum alloy found un-deformation alloy crystal grain boundary straight and clear but the grain size is uneven, some thick, some small. Meanwhile crystal exists large number of sintered hollow.
However, with the increase of deformation, the microscopic voids of TZM alloy although not all disappear but its size significantly smaller. And with the amount of deformation increases, uneven grain has been refined and it was elongated along the direction of deformation, the grain boundary staggered lap, so its density is also improved. Meanwhile, with strain rate increase the original non-uniform grain size change to uniform structure and the grain size was significantly smaller. This is because with the increase of the deformation rate, the metal internal sliding and dislocation motion increases can not be fully released between the grains and the grains of distortion in a short time, so that the grains are extruded per unit time to increase the degree of deformation and the grain is refined and elongated which is good for rolling.
