Titanium Zirconium Molybdenum Alloy Mechanical Property

Mechanical property refers to under different circumstances the mechanical characteristics show when subject to various external loads. In general, the mechanical properties of the metal can divided into the following categories: brittle, strength, ductility, hardness, toughness, fatigue strength, flexibility, ductility, stiffness and yield point.
The mechanical properties of titanium-zirconium-molybdenum alloy (TZM) is influenced by many aspects, such as the preparation method, the annealing temperature, neutron radiation treatment, strain rate and deformation processing and others in varying degrees. There will introduce at different temperatures and producing method will have different influence on TZM alloy mechanical properties.
After the experiment found that when temperatures below 1000℃, TZM alloy performance which using powder metallurgy method is similar to using melting method. But the strength is higher than using powder metallurgy methods’. However, when the temperature is higher than 1200℃, the strength of TZM alloy which produce by powder metallurgy method is less than melting methods’.
