TZM alloy (titanium zirconium molybdenum alloy) is a kind of high temperature alloy in molybdenum alloy. With the advantages of high melting point, high strength, high elastic modulus, small linear expansion coefficient, low steam, good thermal conductivity, strong resistance to corrosion and high temperature mechanical performance etc., TZM alloy can be widely applied in many fields.
TZM alloy has so many advantages that broaden its range of application. It showed good mechanical properties under high temperature and high pressure, which make them available in the military industry, such as torpedo engines with the valve body, rocket nozzles, gas pipeline, the nozzle throat insert. Besides, as it has the corrosion resistance to metal liquid, TZM alloy can be used for color kinescope glass shell production line of glass furnace with platinum rhodium coating blender spindle.
TZM alloy has high melting point, thus can be used for die-casting mold material of black or non-ferrous metal and seamless stainless steel perforated head, such as engine rotor on the copper mold.
Besides, TZM alloy is widely used as a plates for high temperature furnace wall and hot isostatic pressing machine of high temperature structural materials. TZM alloy is also used widely in the electrical and electronic industries, such as cathode, gate, high pressure a rectifying element, a semiconductor thin film integrated circuits. In addition, TZM alloy is also used on the nuclear power equipment, such as the radiation shield, the support frame, a heat exchanger, the rails etc..
