TZM (titanium zirconium molybdenum) alloy is a kind of molybdenum alloy with a small amount of titanium, zirconium, and trace of carbon element. TZM alloy has higher temperature strength, and is currently the most widely used molybdenum alloy. The nominal composition of TZM alloy is Mo-0.5Ti-0.08Zr, generic brands is TZM, and its chemical components listed in table 1. In 1956, Clay Max Molybdenum Companies in the United States produced the first batch of industrial scale TZM alloy ingot. In the late 1950 s, TZM alloy material can be mass-produced with casting method. In the 70 s, TZM alloy became the best universal molybdenum alloy. In the mid-1960s, China began to study TZM alloy produced by casting method, the 1970s were a large-scale trial, with a cast and powder metallurgy using TZM alloy products production capacity.

To meet the requirements of higher temperature and intensity, titanium zirconium carbon molybdenum alloy would be formed on the formation of titanium-zirconium-molybdenum alloy increased carbon titanium, zirconium and carbon, whose general composition is Mo-1.25 Ti-0.15 Zr-0.15 C, called TZC alloy. However, because its deformation is difficult, industrial production scale has not yet formed in the 1990s and there were no series of products, just provide products according to the requirement.
