Bridgelux and Toshiba have entered into a cooperation agreement on GaN-on-silicon technology

USA Bridgelux and Japan Toshiba Corporation, announced on April 23, Bridgelux will sell to Toshiba its industry-leading GaN-on-Silicon technology and related assets, and the companies will strengthen and extend their strategic technology collaboration through an expanded licensing and manufacturing relationship.
Based on the joint development of GaN-On-Silicon technology, and the production agreements that Toshiba to ensure Bridgelux GaN-on-Silicon LED chip supply sources, to expand the next generation of the LED chip and package, or platforms cooperation. The strengthening of the strategic relationship between the two sides will bring a new business opportunities.
The transaction includes the assets of GaN-on-Silicon, and the relevant personnel of Bridgelux will remain in Livermore headquarters after the deal closes, to ensure that the two sides continued technical and commercial cooperation.
