European Ferro-Molybdenum, Molybdic Oxide Prices in Freefall

Ferro-molybdenum and molybdic oxide prices remained under pressure on Friday July 12, as supplies continued to outweigh demand and no supportive factors emerged to prevent them falling further.

Metal Bulletin’s in-warehouse Rotterdam quotation for ferro-molybdenum dropped to $24.30-24.60 per kg on Friday. Molybdic oxide dropped to $9.50-9.60 per lb.

“There’s no reason for it to stop falling. There’s a lot of material around and not too much demand,” a producer said
