European Domestic Stainless Sheet Prices Fall

Prices for domestically-traded grade-304 and grade-316 2mm cold rolled (CR) stainless sheet in Europe have seen a drop of €10 ($13) per tonne week-on-week.

The fall is down to mills trying to book orders while raw materials prices continue to tumble, market sources told Metal Bulletin sister title Steel First at the end of last week.

“It is a surprise that base prices are still under pressure as I was not expecting that. There is still a worry about booking orders,” a distributor based in the Netherlands said.
