I. Analysis of China's Molybdenum Price Market in June 2026

According to CTIA GROUP, the overall market situation for molybdenum in China in June 2026 was relatively good, with the price trend of molybdenum raw materials being slightly different from that of molybdenum chemical products: molybdenum raw material prices increased first and then stabilized, while molybdenum chemical product prices increased first and then decreased.

In June, the price of molybdenum concentrate increased by RMB 150/ton-degree, an increase of 2.98%; the price of ferromolybdenum increased by RMB 9,000/ton, an increase of 2.84%; the price of molybdenum oxide increased by RMB 130/ton-degree, an increase of 2.54%; the price of ammonium tetramolybdate increased by RMB 6,000/ton, an increase of 1.95%; and the price of molybdenum powder decreased by RMB 1/kg, a decrease of 0.17%.

In early June, the price of molybdenum raw materials continued the upward trend from the end of May, mainly due to the relatively high enthusiasm of downstream users for bargain hunting, the strong willingness of suppliers to hold back goods and firm up prices, and the promotion of market sentiment. Driven by the rise in molybdenum raw material prices, other molybdenum product prices also increased accordingly. In late June, affected by the significant price increase of molybdenum products in early June, downstream users' willingness to consume weakened. Coupled with the weak overseas molybdenum market and the gradual digestion of earlier favorable support, the resistance to further price increases for most products increased, and some inpidual products even experienced slight declines.

II. Average Prices of Molybdenum Products in June 2026

In June 2026, the average prices of most molybdenum products in China increased both month-on-month and year-on-year. Among them, the average price of molybdenum concentrate was RMB 5,134/ton-degree, increased by 2.15% month-on-month, increased by 33.77% year-on-year; the average price of ferromolybdenum was RMB 323,143/ton, increased by 1.42% month-on-month, increased by 30.80% year-on-year; the average price of molybdenum oxide was RMB 5,204/ton-degree, increased by 1.54% month-on-month, increased by 32.15% year-on-year; the average price of sodium molybdate was RMB 224,381/ton, increased by 0.05% month-on-month, increased by 31.41% year-on-year; the average price of ammonium tetramolybdate was RMB 313,286/ton, increased by 2.10% month-on-month, increased by 34.03% year-on-year; the average price of ammonium heptamolybdate was RMB 319,095/ton, increased by 2.93% month-on-month, increased by 33.65% year-on-year; the average price of molybdenum powder was RMB 596/kg, increased by 1.02% month-on-month, increased by 35.45% year-on-year; the average price of molybdenum bar was RMB 601/kg, increased by 1.01% month-on-month, increased by 27.60% year-on-year.

In the second quarter of 2026, the average prices of most molybdenum products in China increased both month-on-month and year-on-year. The average price of molybdenum concentrate was RMB 4,908/ton-degree, increased by 15.81% month-on-month, increased by 36.94% year-on-year; the average price of ferromolybdenum was RMB 311,033/ton, increased by 13.92% month-on-month, increased by 33.89% year-on-year; the average price of molybdenum oxide was RMB 4,998/ton-degree, increased by 15.51% month-on-month, increased by 35.70% year-on-year; the average price of sodium molybdate was RMB 217,836/ton, increased by 13.14% month-on-month, increased by 33.86% year-on-year; the average price of ammonium tetramolybdate was RMB 301,180/ton, increased by 14.32% month-on-month, increased by 35.03% year-on-year; the average price of ammonium heptamolybdate was RMB 305,541/ton, increased by 14.06% month-on-month, increased by 34.27% year-on-year; the average price of molybdenum powder was RMB 576/kg, increased by 13.61% month-on-month, increased by 36.49% year-on-year; the average price of molybdenum bar was RMB 581/kg, increased by 14.15% month-on-month, increased by 27.13% year-on-year.

From January to June 2026, the average prices of most molybdenum products in China increased year-on-year. Among them, the average price of molybdenum concentrate was RMB 4,581/ton-degree, increased by 29.01% year-on-year; the average price of ferromolybdenum was RMB 292,513/ton, increased by 27.04% year-on-year; the average price of molybdenum oxide was RMB 4,671/ton-degree, increased by 27.87% year-on-year; the average price of sodium molybdate was RMB 205,504/ton, increased by 26.42% year-on-year; the average price of ammonium tetramolybdate was RMB 282,790/ton, increased by 27.07% year-on-year; the average price of ammonium heptamolybdate was RMB 287,185/ton, increased by 26.68% year-on-year; the average price of molybdenum powder was RMB 542/kg, increased by 28.74% year-on-year; the average price of molybdenum bar was RMB 546/kg, increased by 19.74% year-on-year.
