1. Analysis of China Molybdenum Price Trends in February 2026

According to CTIA GROUP LTD, in February 2026, China molybdenum products price trends showed first rise, then stable, then rise again.

At the beginning of the month, affected by some molybdenum manufacturers voluntarily reducing output, high enthusiasm among downstream users for stockpiling, and favorable international molybdenum market conditions, suppliers generally raised quotations; near the Spring Festival, due to many traders taking early leave, product prices showed no obvious changes; after the Spring Festival, driven by the rapid rise in molybdenum concentrate prices, ferromolybdenum, ammonium molybdate, and other molybdenum product prices also rose synchronously.

In February 2026, molybdenum concentrate price increased by approximately RMB 380 per ton-degree, up 9.34%; ferromolybdenum price increased by approximately RMB 20,000/ton, up 7.55%; molybdenum oxide price increased by approximately RMB 380 per ton-degree, up 9.18%; sodium molybdate price increased by approximately RMB 17,000/ton, up 9.19%; ammonium tetramolybdate price increased by approximately RMB 27,000/ton, up 10.71%; ammonium heptamolybdate price increased by approximately RMB 26,000/ton, up 10.12%; molybdenum powder price increased by approximately RMB 45/kg, up 9.28%; molybdenum bar price increased by approximately RMB 48/kg, up 9.86%.

2. Average Prices of Molybdenum Products in February 2026

In February 2026, the average prices of most molybdenum products in China increased both month-on-month and year-on-year. Among them, molybdenum concentrate averaged RMB 4,213 per tonne-degree, increased by 4.02% month-on-month and increased by 18.14% year-on-year; ferromolybdenum averaged RMB 272,600/ton, increased by 3.89% month-on-month and increased by 18.46% year-on-year; molybdenum oxide averaged RMB 4,305 per tonne-degree, increased by 4.36% month-on-month and increased by 17.43% year-on-year; sodium molybdate averaged RMB 190,600/ton, increased by 3.59% month-on-month and increased by 18.39% year-on-year; ammonium tetramolybdate averaged RMB 261,200/ton, increased by 5.00% month-on-month and increased by 16.61% year-on-year; ammonium heptamolybdate averaged RMB 265,800/ton, increased by 4.84% month-on-month and increased by 16.58% year-on-year; molybdenum powder averaged RMB 502/kg, increased by 4.58% month-on-month and increased by 18.12% year-on-year; molybdenum bar averaged RMB 504/kg, increased by 4.56% month-on-month and increased by 9.57% year-on-year.

In January-February 2026, the average prices of most molybdenum products in China increased year-on-year. Among them, molybdenum concentrate averaged RMB 4,118 per tonne-degree, increased by 15.00% year-on-year; ferromolybdenum averaged RMB 266,639/ton, increased by 15.23% year-on-year; molybdenum oxide averaged RMB 4,200 per tonne-degree, increased by 14.10% year-on-year; sodium molybdate averaged RMB 186,750/ton, increased by 13.87% year-on-year; ammonium tetramolybdate averaged RMB 253,944/ton, increased by 13.37% year-on-year; ammonium heptamolybdate averaged RMB 258,639/ton, increased by 13.44% year-on-year; molybdenum powder averaged RMB 489/kg, increased by 15.06% year-on-year; molybdenum bar averaged RMB 491/kg, increased by 6.74% year-on-year.
