At the beginning of the week, China molybdenum price continues to rise sharply due in part to the tightening availability of raw materials in the market as well as active trading.
Given the relative shortage of spot supply of molybdenum raw materials, considerable quantity and prices of ferromolybdenum tendered by steel companies, suppliers basically held a strong bullish sentiment of reluctance to sell. Driven by the strong rise in international molybdenum product prices, the domestic molybdenum market heats up even more significantly.
At present, the domestic prices of molybdenum concentrate, ferromolybdenum, ammonium heptamolybdate and molybdenum powder all hit new highs this year, about 3,570 yuan/mtu, 240,000 yuan/ton, 230,000 yuan/ton and 414 yuan/kg respectively.
