In the molybdenum concentrate market, the market is relatively optimistic. Under the circumstance that the enthusiasm of downstream users for inquiries and purchases is still relatively high and the quotation of molybdenum concentrate is still relatively high, many suppliers have a strong profit-taking psychology, and the order growth rate is fast. Recently, China Railway Resources Luming Mining completed 215 centralized maintenance tasks for the first time in 2022, sounding the clarion call for a "good start" for the first season of production.

In the ferro-molybdenum market, the fundamentals of supply and demand are still stable. Some steel companies are still willing to bid for ferro-molybdenum and the current ferro-molybdenum manufacturers are full of orders, which to a large extent supports the confidence of suppliers to maintain firm quotations. The price is expected to advance to RMB 180,000/ton.

In the molybdenum chemical industry and its products market, the overall operation is stable, the end customers maintain just-needed purchases and it is difficult to find low-cost sources of goods, which are the main reasons for the difficulty in updating the prices of molybdenum chemical products and the general market activity. The current prices of molybdenum powder and sodium molybdate are respectively consolidated at RMB 325/kg and RMB 120,000/ton.

In terms of news: In 2021, the global stainless steel crude steel production will reach 56.289 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 10.6%. In terms of different regions, Europe increased by about 13.6% to 7.181 million tons, the United States increased by about 10.4% to 2.368 million tons, and mainland China increased by about 1.6% to 30.632 million tons. India, Japan and Taiwan) increased by about 21.2% to 7.792 million tons, and other regions (mainly Indonesia, South Korea, South Africa, Brazil, Russia) increased by about 42.0% to 8.316 million tons.
