Molybdenum market quotation in China: the latest prices of ferro molybdenum, ammonium molybdate, ammonium heptamolvbdate and molybdenum oxide decline slightly as large molybdenum miners lowered their offer levels. It was reported that the 50-55% molybdenum concentrate of Yichun Luming Minng is quoted at 1600-1630 yuan/ton.
Molybdenum concentrate prices dropped sharply due to weak ferro molybdenum prices that pressed down by declined costs and prices of steel biddings. But insiders thought the current prices are quite close to the bottom before the Spring Festival. For the demand side, downstream purchasers became active in inquiry, although actual transactions do not increase. At present, most insiders mainly take a watchful stance.
