China molybdenum prices continue the downward trend as downstream stainless steel mills remain low buying appetite. The decline in prices of steel biddings also lowers transaction prices of molybdenum ores, weakening supports of costs for raw material products.
For now, the expectation for stocking up before the holiday of Chinese New Year boosts market mentality. But purchasers still remain cautious as the industry not only focuses on offer levels of large mines, but also watches out for the off season before the holiday. in the short term, molybdenum market prices will remain weak.
