Molybdenum market quotation in China: prices of ferromolybdenum, molybdenum concentrate, ammonium heptamolvbdate and molybdenum oxide declined slightly early in this week while molybdenum powder price maintained stability.
Upstream ferromolybdenum enterprises were pressed by slow stainless steel market, resulting in the decline in prices and quantity of steel biddings. Manufacturers with reduced profits remained low buying interests and trading in the molybdenum concentrate market was quiet.
China molybdenum market is low at present with weak demand, capital shortage and low operating rate of enterprises. Although insiders have expectations for the supply and cost sides, molybdenum market is not expected to recover in the short term.
