Opening this week, China molybdenum prices continue to remain weak adjustment. Steel market is in the off season at the end of this year, which presses ferro molybdenum market. In addition, capital shortage strengths traders’ profit-taking willingness. Therefore, market transaction prices drop to the level of production costs.
Profits are squeezed and ferromolybdenum manufacturers have to transfer their pressure to the cost side. And thus trading is thin and prices are under pressure. At present, inventories in mines are limited and businesses are reluctant to adjust their offer levels greatly. Most market participants are waiting for the next move in the steel biddings.
