Molybdenum scrap (Mo Scrap) and molybdenum alloy scrap (Mo Alloy Scrap) are very unique with their position as a high temperature scrap metal and high temperature alloy scrap. Molybdenum scrap and molybdenum alloy scrap have a melting point of 4,730 F. This puts molybdenum scrap and molybdenum alloy scrap melting at 2,000 F higher than other scrap metals such as steel.
When thinking of the recycling side of things at Monico Alloys, molybdenum scrap and molybdenum alloy scrap are used for many things in the world today. Molybdenum scrap and molybdenum alloy scrap are recycled at Monico Alloys for use in the making of rifle barrels and filaments for light bulbs. Granted, these are just a few examples of what a scrap metal can be use for but when putting it in greater terms of the environment; molybdenum scrap and molybdenum alloy scrap may also be recycled for use in soil, as soil with no molybdenum cannot support plant life.
