Aluminized Coating Technology of TZM Alloy Hot-dip Aluminized Coating

Using aqueous solution plating assistant method for TZM alloy hot-dip aluminized coating and the operation procedures are as following: sample-removing oil and grease-washing-acid pickling-washing-plating assistant-drying and pre-heating-hot-dipping-cooling-annealing.
Firstly, use raw emery paper to doing rough grinding on TZM alloy sample then washing and using raw emery paper doing fine griding then washing again then polishing. After that dip the sample in acetone to remove oil for 30min then cleaning by flowing hot water. The next step is acid picking. The pickling solution temperature is 25~30℃and acid pickling for 5min. After acid pickling use flowing room temperature water to wash alloy sample. Aqueous solution platting assistance technology can protect metal’s surface that the metal surface after remove oil and rust so before the alloy dip in the molten aluminum can avoid oxidation to improve interfacial wetting between alloy substrate and molten aluminum and active substrate’s surface. The solution of plating assistance is 10%K2ZrF6 aqueous solution and the plating assistance temperature is 90℃ for 2 min. After plating assistance using hair drier to drying the alloy and preheating. The preheating temperature is 270℃.
When the solution of molten aluminum melting at 730℃, using hexachloroethane to remove the gas for 2-5min and standing for 2min to remove the slag on the alloy’s surface and then adding covering agent, heat preservation for 1 hour. Then put the pretreatment alloy sample into filter liquor employ hot-dip coating and the time is 3-5min. After that quickly remove it and put it in hot water to remove the fused salt of TZM alloy’s surface.
Finally, using vacuum diffusion annealing technology to anneal, the annealing temperature is 800℃ for 3h.
