XRFS Determination of Molybdenum,Silicon,Phosphorus and Copper in Ferromolybdenum with Samples Prepared by Centrifugal Casting

To overcome segregation of ferromolybdenum, the technology of centrifugal casting was applied to prepare mushroom shaped piece sample used for XRFS determination of Mo,Si,P and Cu.Details of the sample preparation were given.Five standard samples and 3 working standards were used for preparation of working curves of the elements determined.Precision was tested with 6 piece samples prepared from a same sample and analyzed by the proposed method for the contents of Mo,Si,P and Cu,values of RSD′s(n=6) found were in the range of 0.24%-5.41%.In the analysis of 4 ferromolybdenum samples, the results of the 4 elements found by this method were in consistency with the results obtained by chemical methods.

Segregation in materials, enrichment of a material constituent at a free surface or an internal interface of a material

Particle segregation, tendency of particulate solids to segregate by size, density, shape, and other properties

Magnetic-activated cell sorting, a method for separation of various cell populations depending on their surface antigens
