Different Rolling Method Influence TZM-La2O3 Micro Structure

By studying the experimental data found unidirectional rolled TZM alloy plate after 1000℃ annealing the fibrous tissue as short and thick fibrous tissue. The cross-rolled alloy plate after annealing at 1000℃its fiber flow lines almost disappear. In addition, unidirectional rolled alloy plate annealing at 1400℃ conditions, the fibrous tissue of it is an elongated shape recrystallized grains. The cross-rolled alloy plate after annealing at 1400 ℃ the recrystallization grains has begun equiaxed. This shows that the cross-rolled alloy plate recrystallization temperature below the unidirectional rolled alloy plates’.
Adding La2O3 particles into TZM alloy plate, having the role to impede grain growth, the grain transverse direction growth is difficult, but the longitudinal direction growth is easier, so the recrystallized grains showed elongated shape morphology. TZM-La2O3 alloy plate during hot and warm rolling process twice reversing, rolling direction perpendicular to the extension direction of the alloy plate, changing the rolling direction, but also makes the metal flow direction has changed, reducing the La2O3 particle density distribution in all directions, the recrystallized grains equiaxed grain transformed resistance becomes small. So o unidirectional rolled has high recrystallization temperature than cross-rolled TZM-La2O3 alloy plate.
