TZM Alloy Powder Compression Molding

Powder compression molding is an important method to suppress TZM alloy powder. Its specific steps are as follows: First, packing powder into moulding-die and pressure by the press. Finally after demolding, we can get the desired shape and size pressed product. Compression molding process includes scale materials, loading mode, pressing, stripping, drying, repairing and compact machining processes.
Powder compression molding process can be roughly divided into three stages. In the first phase, TZM alloy billet density increases rapidly with increasing pressure. This is because the arch rapid phenomenon of powder eliminate by small pressure and the larger moving distance of the powder particles, so that the porosity drastically reduced. The second stage, the alloy density increased slowly. This is due to the large voids having been eliminated in the first stage. To Continues increase the pressure mainly making the particles happen elastically deformed. The third stage, the increase pressure is likely to reach the powder material yield strength and ultimate strength, so the powder particles produced plastic deformation or brittle fracture in this pressure.
