Sintering refers to a powder or powder compacts to make high temperature processing which under main component melting point temperature and in a suitable atmosphere. The purpose is to produce a metallurgical bond between the powder particles. That is mechanical engagement between the powder particles transformed into grain boundary cohesion between atoms to increase the intensity of TZM alloy billet.
Specific steps of TZM alloy sintering are as follows:
1. Putting TZM alloy billets which got from cold pressing into medium-frequency induction sintering furnace.
2. At room temperature, using the ventilation method is up air outlet and under air outpu. And to pass through 99.99% hydrogen into medium-frequency induction sintering furnace for 2 hour to exclude the air in sintering furnace .
3. Open the sintering furnace power, setting the sintering temperature, when the temperature rose to 1200 ℃, heat preservation for 2 hours, so that the low melting point impurities will volatile. Heated to 1600 ℃, heat preservation for 2 hours, so that the high melting point impurities will volatile.
4. After sintering is complete, the TZM alloy cool with furnace cooling.
