According to research data found forged titanium zirconium molybdenum alloy bars grains are elongated along the longitudinal, fibrous tissue showed significant and lateral fine grain structure are compact. The gap between grain and grain has strengthening particle which is uniform and dispersion distribution. Besides, it plays a dispersion strengthening on molybdenum alloy matrix. The main ingredient of it is TiC and ZrC and a small amount of TiO and ZrO.
Further, to compare the structure of titanium zirconium molybdenum alloy bar which has different deformation can be found that the structure of 80% deformation TZM alloy bar is more finer and uniform than 60 % deformation TZM alloy bars. Besides, the TZM bars after 70% deformation has been fully formed and grain distribution is relatively uniform. This is because with the deformation processing increasing, grain deformation increases and during the deformation process it will occur grain boundary sliding and rotating. What’s more it will accompany by the phenomenon of broken grains, resulting fibrous structure on TZM bars grains more consistent, uniform finer grain structure.
