Using the traditional powder metallurgy method to produce titanium zirconium molybdenum (TZM), which TiH2, ZrH2, C proportion by weight respectively is 0.48%, 0.09% and 0.06%. The TiH2, ZrH2 and C mixed molybdenum powder, after mixing, milling, pressing by 2.2t isostatic pressing and other processes, sintering at 1900 ℃ vacuum atmosphere. Which TZM alloy sintered billet’s density is 9.6g /cm-3, then sintered billet by blooming, hot rolling, warm rolling, cold rolling, caustic washing and other processes, and finally get a thickness of 2.5mm plate for high temperature performance testing and texture observation.
Observing at 1000,1200,1300,1400,1600 and 1800 ℃ the test plate in the processing stage and annealing stage the yield strength, tensile strength and test temperature relationship. The experimental results can be found with increasing temperature, the yield strength and tensile strength are reduced, but when temperature is higher than 1600 ℃, the intensity decreased slowed. The TZM elongation at 1000 ~ 1800 ℃ showed good ductility properties.
Experimental Summary: As the temperature height, TZM alloy tensile strength decreased, but increased its plasticity.
