The Types of Molybdenum Hot Runner

Molybdenum is used in hot runner injection mold, the melted plastic is injected into the mold cavity heating component collection. Runner Mo can be mainly divided into open type and needle type. Open molybdenum runner has a simple structure,that is suitable for mini-half runner, not for the thermal isolation runner which has a higher limitations of the material, and also contact the product’s surface directly, so it’s easy to be brushed and leak, and the surface quality gets poor. The miniature semi runner does not touch the product but the minute flow path, so you can use open-molybdenum runner that is used more often in foreign high-precision molds.


Needle-type molybdenum runner saves materials,and plastic surface is good, at the same time internal quality is close and strength is high. There are two types of needle-type molybdenum runner in the world: the cylinder type and spring type. Cylinder type control to push the needle cylinder wall according to controllers and timing controller, its structure is complicated, but which is designed to be simple, because the characteristics of its own institutions decides the height of  precision molds, while commissioning and maintenance are complicated; the difference between spring type and cylinder type is no timing control, which is not a good solution to the problem of weld marks.
