TZM (Ti-Zr-Mo) Alloy Oxidation Resistance

TZM (Ti-Zr-Mo) alloy is a kind of high temperature molybdenum alloy with high melting point, corrosion resistance, mechanical properties, which are widely used in military-industrial complex, aerospace and high temperature structure, etc.

Due to the high temperature performance, TZM alloy widely used as high-temperature structural parts, but its oxidation resistance is not very good, can not be generated to protect their anti-oxidation layer, greatly reducing the life and scope of the alloy. With the improvement of oxidation resistance, most foreign TZM alloy as heat panels use high oxidation resistance of the alloy requirements. There are two kinds of methods to improve the antioxidant properties of the alloy, one is alloying, adding trace elements in the alloy to improve the oxidation resistance of the alloy.
