China has  identified 229 molybdenum mine, through exploration accounted for about 1/3. Shaanxi Jinduicheng molybdenum mine was discovered in 1955, from 1956 to 1958 for exploration. 1959 to submit a detailed exploration of geological reports. Exploration drilling means adopted, exploration depth of 300m. Select the central part of the ore body length 1100m, width 200m, 150m deep within the scope of the use of 100m × 100m grid of seeking B-class reserves, its external and deep location using 200m × 200m or 200m × 100m grid of seeking C-level reserves. Invested a total drilling footage 28593m, adit 942m, shallow 2630m. 

 

(2) Section Ⅱ exploration Type: mostly large-scale extension of the orebody morphology simpler, more stable thickness, construction and destruction of the small veins of ore to the main components of the uneven distribution more uniform. Belong to this type of deposit, Henan Shangfanggou. 

 

Shangfanggou mine was discovered in 1957, 1982 to submit detailed survey report. Exploration drilling 50m × 50m demand using B-class reserves, 100m × 100m seeking C-class reserves, 200m × 200m or 200m × 300m seeking D reserves. Total investment in drilling 42897m, trenches 2793m, Asai 1339m. 

 

(3) Section Ⅲ exploration Type: mostly medium-scale extension of the ore body, form a complex, stable to unstable thickness, structure damage and affect small to large veins interspersed ore to the uneven distribution of the main components is very uneven. Belong to this type of deposit Yangjiazhangzi Liaoning, Heilongjiang Wudaoling, Hunan Baoshan. 

 

Yangjiazhangzi molybdenum mine was discovered in 1951, 1953 and 1957 surveys. During exploration, according to the geological characteristics of the deposit, the main ore exploration type as class Ⅱ, Ⅲ class as branch orebody. Using tunnels (four middle) with the means to carry out exploration drilling. Ⅱ type exploration project density using trenches (40 ~ 60) × 50m seeking B-class reserves, (40 ~ 60) × 100m and 100m × 100m drilling required C-class reserves. Drilling effort invested a total of 53356m, trenches 23736m. 

 

(4) Section Ⅳ exploration type: small to medium-scale extension of the ore body, ore complex to very complex shape, thickness unstable to very unstable, or structural damage to the dikes interspersed with a great big influence, the distribution of the ore is the main component uneven extremely uneven. Belong to this type of deposit exploration Jilin Shirengou.
