Separation of molybdenum

To ensure the quality of molybdenum, molybdenum concentrate contained on copper, lead, iron and other heavy minerals and calcium oxide and carbonaceous minerals needed further separation: 
General use sodium sulfide or sodium hydrosulfide, cyanide or copper and iron ferrocyanide system; dichromate or Knox inhibition lead. If using inhibitors, impurity content not yet reached the quality standards, supplemented by chemical processing still need to deal with: the cyanide leaching of secondary copper sulfide; chalcopyrite leaching with ferric chloride solution; galena with hydrochloric acid and trichloroacetic iron leaching solution, can be up to standard levels. 
 
Containing calcium oxide gangue easily mudding, therefore, for this type of ore containing gangue avoid excessive wear. Production is often added silicate, sodium hexametaphosphate or hexamers as gangue organic gel inhibitor or dispersant; activated carbon may also be added CMC (carboxymethyl cellulose) inhibition carbonate gangue. Hydrochloric acid or hydrochloric acid plus final solution of ferric chloride leaching treatment. 
 
Separation of carbon-bearing minerals, we must first identify the carbonaceous are of graphite, asphalt or coal class category. Gangue SiO2 (silica) content is too high, the impact is often the cause of molybdenum concentrate grade. The investigation determined: SiO2 content of molybdenum concentrate grade increased with the decline, there are two trends in mutual consumption. As long as molybdenum minerals to monomer dissociation fineness, SiO2 content in general can be reduced to below standard. Oil drug molybdenum plus activated carbon adsorption surface, plus CMC suppress silicate gangue, SiO2 content can also be reduced to below standard.
