It is reported that researchers at the Massachusetts Institute through a socket converter device enables LED light can release 
more power than it consumes electric power , power conversion efficiency can be achieved 100%.
Currently, one of the biggest obstacles to design a bright and efficient LED lights , LED lights to increase the output power but led to decrease its efficiency. The MIT researchers explained that their findings greatly reduces the applied voltage. According to calculations, when the voltage is reduced to half , four times the input power is reduced , and the light emitted power and the voltage consistent reached half. In other words , when the output power decreases in the rate of increase in light emission LED .
Experiments , the researchers reduced the LED input power , only 30 Piva , and the measured light output up to 69 Piva amount of efficiency up to 230 %. The physical mechanism of the same effects in any LED, under the action of an applied voltage , electrons and holes generated photons with a certain probability . The researchers did not study the same as any other attempt to increase this probability , but the use of the device occurred in atomic lattice vibrations in a small amount of heat emitted to generate more electricity. This process allows the use of waste heat emitting LED cool slightly , its operation is similar to a thermoelectric cooler. While at room temperature , the temperature of the cooling is not sufficient to provide a practical , but it may be used to design a lamp does not generate heat .
