Each LED is born in a tungsten crucible. In this crucible, then melted to form a single crystal alumina sapphire 
crystal . Since the methods used are inconsistent , so in general the process takes two to three weeks . The first single crystal sapphire single crystal growth process material is heated to more than 2,000 degrees Celsius , and then slowly cooled in a controlled environment .
Only a few materials can be used to produce the crucible , it is because they must meet two requirements: on the one hand , they must be of high temperature materials ; other hand, they must not be contaminated melt sapphire . In addition , the crucible must be heated by a high furnace , which can produce the desired high temperature, and can accurately control and cooling. Sapphire melting furnace core , the so-called thermal field , designed precisely to each customer's needs in order to facilitate manufacture of high-performance materials .
