China's second largest copper-molybdenum mine project in Guangdong Fengkai under construction

China news agency, Zhaoqing, November 8 - China's second largest outdoors copper-molybdenum mine project broke ground in Guangdong FengKai on 8th.

According to reports, the copper-molybdenum mine located in Fengkai County which was discovered by Guangdong 719 Geological Brigade in 2008.Allegedly, the local copper reserves is about 100 million tons and 250,000 tons of molybdenum metal resources reserves. Copper-molybdenum mining project total investment of 5 billion yuan, the annual processing of ore, about 11.55 million tons, with an annual output of 89,000 tons of copper concentrate, 9,801 tons of molybdenum concentrate, 103,000 tons of sulfur concentrate, the output value of 2.09 billion yuan after putting into operation .

It is reported that this is second to domestic Dexing Copper Mine, the mining project has been successful became the key projects included in the adjustment and revitalization plan for the non-ferrous metals industry in Guangdong Province and City which focused on pre-construction preparatory project.

The flotation process for the project uses backwater comprehensive utilization of advanced technology and equipment, with leading technology, state-of-the-art equipment, environmental protection and energy saving features.

The data show that the Molybdenum is a metallic element found later. It was extracted from molybdenite by the Swedish chemist in 1792. Since the molybdenum metal has the advantages of high strength, high melting point and resistance to corrosion had been widely used in industry, and the molybdenum compound also has a wide range of uses in the agricultural fertilizer.
