China's glass industry consumes 40 tons metal molybdenum annual

In past ten years, China's annual consumption of metal molybdenum in the glass industry was near 40 tons, the amount is still on an upward trend. Molybdenum is widely used in the glass fiber, quartz glass, flat glass and TV glass production. a large amount of molybdenum is used for glass fiber production, accounting for about 75% of the total molybdenum content of the glass industry. Quartz glass production in China needs molybdenum crucible about 25 and about 6 tons of molybdenum material every year; the glass shielding annual demand for molybdenum agitator molybdenum content about 5 tons. In addition, a number of container glass, lamp glass, thermos production of molybdenum electrodes for the heater. Flat glass production plant in producing the molten glass mostly use heavy oil or gas heating, and the molybdenum electrode only as a sub-heater.
