Domestic molybdenum-iron price decreased 20 thousand yuan per ton

It is reported that after May 1,2004, the domestic steelworks will purchase about 300 tons of molybdenum-iron with Guiyang area 20 tons, Tianjin 80 tons, Hubei 50 tons, Henan 20 tons, Chongqing 20 tons, Sichuan 40 tons, Liaoning 40 tons and other areas 30 tons.
After May 1, the price of molybdenum-iron shows a tendency of unilateral decrease.During May the price of molybdenum-iron in domestic market is about 0.12 mln yuan per ton, which has slumped by 20 thousand yuan per ton compared with the price before May 1.
On May the market has seen evidence of steadiness and in Huludao area Molybdenum ore keeps the price of 73-74 thousand yuan per ton (no tax) with traces of increases in purchase. The price of 60% molybdenum-iron bided by the steelworks ranges from 0.115 to 0.118 mln yuan per ton. In a short period, the price of molybdenum-iron is expected to remain stable and likely to bounce back.
