China Molybdenum Prices - September 4, 2023

The current prices of molybdenum concentrate and ferromolybdenum are about 4,370 yuan/ton Mo and 285,000 yuan/ton respectively. According to Chinatungsten Online, the current molybdenum price is at a relatively high level and the international molybdenum market is not good, which is the main reason for the increased cautiousness of buyers; the arrival of the "Golden September" and the small stock in the market are supported by a large cost It has boosted the suppliers' confidence in quotations.

In terms of news: According to data from the China Iron and Steel Industry Association, in July 2023, my country imported 678,000 tons of steel products, an increase of 66,000 tons month-on-month, and a year-on-year decrease of 111,000 tons; exported steel products were 7.308 million tons, a month-on-month decrease of 200,000 tons, and an increase of 637,000 tons year-on-year. Ton. During the same period, my country exported 4.695 million tons of plate, a decrease of 2.8% from the previous month, accounting for 64.2% of the total export volume; 360,000 tons of stainless steel, an increase of 4.8% from the previous month, accounting for 4.9% of the total export volume.
