China molybdenum price has moved up significantly on April 23, 2023. For example, molybdenum oxide price has returned to above 3,000 yuan/mtu, and the prices of ferromolybdenum and ammonium heptamolybdate have also broken through the 200,000 yuan/ton mark again. The actual transaction volume also increased slightly.

According to Chinatungsten Online, the main reasons for the rapid rise of molybdenum prices in recent days are: driven by the continuous rise in international molybdenum prices; with the approaching of the May Day holiday and the stabilization of stainless steel prices, the quantity and prices have increased. Recently, the steel companies that entered the bidding for ferromolybdenum include: 60 tons of Shanxi Taigang on April 21, with a bidding price of 205,000 yuan/ton; 20 tons of Juneng Special Steel on April 20, with a bidding price of 200,000 yuan / ton; 90 tons of Valin Xiangshan Steel on April 20, the bidding price is 178,000 yuan / ton; and so on. It can be seen from this that the price of steel bidding has recently been raised from about 178,000 yuan/ton to around 200,000 yuan/ton.

In terms of news: the second-level director of Harbin Customs said that in the first quarter of 2023, among the export commodities of private enterprises in Heilongjiang, automobiles increased by 32 times year-on-year, and lithium-ion batteries, steel plates and electrical equipment increased by 677.5%, 602.8% and 294.6% year-on-year respectively; Among imported commodities, grain, coal and lignite, and edible oil increased by 328.7%, 219.9%, and 220.5% year-on-year respectively.
