Molybdenum Powder Price - February 6, 2023

China tungsten price continues to pick up at the beginning of the week. Under the situation of sharp rise in molybdenum prices in the early stage, molybdenum holders generally have a strong willingness to take profits recently. 

However, the price rises of molybdenum concentrate, ferromolybdenum and molybdenum oxide are subject to certain resistance, the current quotations are about 5,540 yuan/mtu, 400,000 yuan/ton and 5,640 yuan/mtu respectively. 

From the market of molybdenum chemical industry and its products, under the influence of the stable price of molybdenum raw materials and the gradual increase of terminal demand, the prices of sodium molybdate, ammonium tetramolybdate and molybdenum powder continued to rise, rising to 257,000 yuan/ton, 363,000 yuan/ton and 683 yuan/kg respectively.

In terms of news: According to data from the China Iron and Steel Industry Association, in 2022, my country will import a total of 10.566 million tons of steel, a year-on-year decrease of 25.9%; and export a total of 67.323 million tons of steel, a year-on-year increase of 0.9%. Among them, 700,000 tons of steel were imported in December, a decrease of 52,000 tons month-on-month and a year-on-year decrease of 301,000 tons; steel exports were 5.401 million tons, a decrease of 189,000 tons month-on-month and an increase of 375,000 tons year-on-year.
