In addition, some overseas countries such as Chile have relatively high geopolitical risks, resulting in the import volume of molybdenum raw materials in my country is not high. Therefore, the spot supply in the market is relatively small, which is conducive to the quotation of traders. Second, there are still some steel companies and end customers who are willing to enter the market for consumption, which greatly eases the speed of the market cooling down.
In terms of negative factors, firstly, due to the decline in the prices of bulk commodities such as oil and metals, the price of molybdenum products has been rationally lowered; secondly, due to the year-on-year or continued decline in crude steel output this year and the recent slow development of molybdenum downstream industries , the recovery of molybdenum market is more difficult.
News: The latest data from the China Iron and Steel Association shows that the average domestic steel price index (CSPI) from January to March 2022 is 135.92 points, up 4.38% from the same period last year. Among them, China's steel price index at the end of March was 138.85 points, an increase of 2.41% over February and an increase of 1.89% over the same period last year. In the first quarter, the actual steel consumption of the major steel-using industries decreased by 5% compared with the same period of last year, of which the construction industry decreased by 7% and the manufacturing industry decreased by 2%.
