At the beginning of the week, China molybdenum market maintained a stable operation as a whole. Molybdenum powder price stabilizes while prices of molybdenum concentrate and ferromolybdenum drop to 2,900 yuan/ton and 190,000 yuan/ton respectively.
Although the scarcity of spot supply of molybdenum concentrate and the high transportation costs supported suppliers' confidence in their quotations, affected by sharp increase in molybdenum raw materials as well as the impact of limited liquidity, the price of molybdenum rose again was subject to certain resistance.
In terms of news: The market operation monitoring system of the Ministry of Commerce shows that from March 28 to April 3, the national steel prices rose slightly, of which the prices of welded steel pipes, rebars and high-speed wire rods were 5,411 yuan/ton, 4,985 yuan/ton and 5,159 yuan/ton, respectively. They rose 1.2%, 1.1% and 1%, respectively.
