Sodium Molybdate Price - April 11, 2022

China’s sodium molybdate, ammonium molybdate and ammonium heptamolvbdate prices continue to rise at the beginning of the week. The low spot inventory of molybdenum concentrate and ferro-molybdenum and the fact that some steel companies are still willing to bid for ferro-molybdenum have largely supported the strong quotation confidence of suppliers.

In addition, traffic is blocked, the import volume of molybdenum raw materials is small, and the prices of many auxiliary materials such as nickel and cobalt are still relatively high, and the price of molybdenum chemical products has increased significantly. In the context of this positive market situation, more industry players expect the prices of molybdenum concentrate and ferromolybdenum to exceed 2,900 yuan/ton and 190,000 yuan/ton respectively.

In terms of news: At the end of March 2022, the key statistics of the steel inventory of iron and steel enterprises was 16.6199 million tons, a decrease of 504,900 tons or 2.95% over the previous ten days; an increase of 519,300 tons or 3.23% over the end of last month; an increase of 532.31 over the beginning of the year 10,000 tons, an increase of 47.12%; an increase of 1,913,200 tons over the same period last year, an increase of 13.01%.
