From the demand side, since the Spring Festival holiday has ended, downstream production enterprises have gradually resumed work and production, so the transactions of molybdenum products such as ferromolybdenum, ammonium molybdate, and molybdenum powder have gradually started, and the prices are considerable. The current transaction prices of ferromolybdenum, ammonium heptamolybdate and molybdenum powder are around RMB 165,000/ton, RMB 165,000/ton and RMB 311/kg respectively.
In terms of news: Statistics from the China Iron and Steel Association show that in late January 2022, the average daily output of pig iron in key steel enterprises was 1.7453 million tons, down 0.35% month-on-month and 9.11% year-on-year; in the same period, the average daily output of crude steel by key steel companies was 2,013,600 tons In the same period, the average daily output of steel by key steel enterprises was 1.9363 million tons, an increase of 0.92% month-on-month and a year-on-year decrease of 11.84%.
