Molybdenum Concentrate Price - December 27, 2021

Molybdenum market quotation in China: molybdenum concentrate, molybdenum powder and ferro molybdenum prices are unchanged on December 27, 2021 from last week under the imbalanced supply and demand. 

In the molybdenum concentrate market, supported by low stocks of raw materials and high production costs, molybdenum mining companies generally have a strong sense of reluctance to sell prices; in the ferro-molybdenum market, the growth rate of bulk orders is acceptable, and steel companies are willing to receive goods. Under the circumstances that the current price of ferromolybdenum is not low and the current price of ferromolybdenum is slightly optimistic, the enthusiasm of the holders to go to the warehouse is good.

In the news: In mid-December, the social stocks of five major steel products in 20 cities were 7.84 million tons, a decrease of 430,000 tons from the previous month, a decrease of 5.2%; an increase of 540,000 tons from the beginning of the year, an increase of 7.4%; an increase of 550,000 tons from the same period last year, an increase 7.5%. From a regional perspective, Eastern China decreased by 160,000 tons from the previous month, a decrease of 7.9%; Central China decreased by 130,000 tons, a decrease of 11.8%; Northwest China decreased by 50,000 tons, a decrease of 13.1%; Northeast China decreased by 40,000 tons, a decrease of 10.8%; Southwest China decreased by 2 10,000 tons, down 1.7%; North China decreased by 10,000 tons, down 1.8%; South China decreased by 10,000 tons, down 0.6%.
