China’s Molybdenum Price - June 25, 2021

There was no significant change in China’s molybdenum price as a whole in the week ended on Friday, June 25, 2021. Suppliers were basically reluctant to sell. However, due to the gradual increase in negative factors, market activity was slightly lower than last week.

In the molybdenum concentrate market, the overall situation was relatively calm. In addition to the small drop in international molybdenum prices, which has a certain impact on the increase in market confidence, there were not many raw materials for mainstream molybdenum mining enterprises, which was also one of the reasons why transactions are difficult to increase. 

In the ferromolybdenum market, the quantity of transactions was acceptable, mainly because steel companies were willing to enter the site for bidding, and intermediate smelting companies have a strong sense of profit settlement, but the bidding price was slightly lower than last week, basically starting at 155,000 yuan/ton. Molybdenum chemical industry and its products market was in a stalemate. Affected by the low positions of some products, many holders were not willing to cut prices and deliver goods. In order to avoid the risk of upside down, end customers generally maintained rational consumption.
