China Molybdenum Concentrate Price - April 23, 2021

China molybdenum price kept firm in the week ended on Friday, April 23, 2021 with the impact of the rise in international molybdenum price and boosted market confidence. 

With the approaching of Labour Day holiday, purchasers were active to restock in order to make sure their normal operation. Affected by that, suppliers’ sentiment was boosted. 

As of April 23, 2021, molybdenum concentrate price stands around RMB 117,000/ton, the mainstream price of ferromolybdenum is at RMB 1,710/ton, the price of ammonium heptamolybdate is firm at around RMB 121,000/ton. 

China’s steel bar output from January to March 2021 was 63.357 million tons, an increase of 18.9% year-on-year, of which March’s output was 22.958 million tons, an increase of 20.1% year-on-year; China’s medium-thick and wide steel strip output from January to March was 45.052 million tons, year-on-year an increase of 16.0%, of which the output in March was 14.929 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 16.9%; China's wire rod (wire rod) output was 39.156 tons from January to March, an increase of 16.3% year-on-year, of which the output in March was 13.767 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 18.85 %.
