The molybdenum concentrate and molybdenum oxide prices in the Chinese market edge higher but the whole market price keeps weak adjustment affected by high temperature, strict environmental checks, continued spread of coronavirus in overseas markets and the instability of geopolitics. The whole market trading is low with limited deals concluded.
Recently, although the international molybdenum price is still at a low position and downstream demand is low, molybdenum chemical companies have basically maintained firm quotations, supported by the reduction in domestic production. At present, the market trend is still unclear.
In the terms of news, the export volume of molybdenum waste and scrap in our country in 2020 has been decreasing month by month since April. The export volume in the first quarter was 552,736 kg, and the total export volume in the second quarter was 255,721 kg, a decrease of 53.74% from the first quarter, according to customs data.
