Molybdenum market quotation in China: the prices of molybdenum concentrate, ferro molybdenum and molybdenum powder are unchanged from the previous trading day as the market is still in a stalemate. The whole market trading activity is low and actual transactions are limited. Insiders now hold different views towards the outlook.
On the one hand, as the wait-and-see sentiment in the steel market has gradually increased, the ferro molybdenum and molybdenum concentrate market trading activity has declined compared with the beginning of this month, and a few holders have slightly insufficient confidence in keeping firm offers, causing some companies to bearish on the market outlook; on the other hand, supported by the inadequate spot supply of raw molybdenum concentrate and high production costs, mainstream molybdenum mining companies are less willing to cut prices, which is the main source of motivation for some operators to have greater expectations for the future market.
